Mi'kmaq Family Healing Centre is offering a 12 week Mi'kmaq Mens Intervention Program, The Journey of the Two Wolves. It is available to all Mi'kmaq men in Cape Breton and Paqtnkek (Afton). This Program is for men who have abused their intimate partner, ex-partner or family members and it is holistic and culturally sensitive. Sessions will address the multiple issues in men's lives and their own experiences of violence, that relate to understand abuse and build respectful relationships.
Men are accepted into the program contingent on suitability when they express a willingness to address and learn non-abusive behaviors. Once accepted into the program, Transportation arrangements can be made.
